The Divine Eternal Creator of the Universe

Beth and I came along in an era of wonderful great music. Teenagers in the 60's, and in our 20's during the 70's. After finishing the writing below this great song just hung in our minds. Just listening to it stirs ones soul to think about 1 Corinthians Chapter 13.

Please listen by clicking on the link above.

Have you wondered about the following question that we want to ask God? WHY? Why did You accomplish your purposes in that way? Why did You allow that suffering to take place? Many times God is silent about the whys.

Let us reason for just a moment. Just imagine: the God with the power to speak the universe into existence. We cannot comprehend or imagine the level of intellect that this Supreme Being possesses. Some people question God because they think he should accomplish things in the realm of human reasoning. To do that would limit his abilities. He does not operate at our level with his grand plan, He operates at His. There are somethings we cannot understand presently, even if told us. At this time we just don't have the intellect.

Presently we are dumbed down because of the curse of sin. We are not like the original ADAM that lived in the Garden of Eden before the fall. Even the historians admit that the ancient writing methods are much more complex than those of today. Studies done and written about in the 50's affirm that we don't use 1/10 of the brains capacity to concentrate that is available. Why is this not written about today? One day in our new eternal bodies our intellect will be restored and we see and understand things from a different perspective. When our intellect is restored and we comprehend things clearly we will glorify our God with a shout of Yes we understand now. The HOLY BIBLE states that we are created in the image of God. Eye has not seen and hear has not heard the wonderful things that God has in store for those who love him.

Just think; at times we on this earth have shaken our fist at him and challenged Him to do things our way. He is long suffering and he must have a sense of humor, or he would obliterate us with a whisper. The HOLY BIBLE states that He is the very essence of LOVE. He reveals Himself to us through His Son Jesus Christ.

God chose to communicate with us through His word. This word is the HOLY BIBLE. He does not force it on us. We have the choice to pick it up and read it, or push it aside. Words are powerful instruments of communication. Just think of some of the wonderful books we have read. We can pick up a good cowboy book and we can experience the spirit of a life lived over a hundred years ago. We pick up the Bible and we experience the Spirit of the Supreme Being as He deals with human beings, whom He gives life and breath to.

Faith is precious to this Supreme Being. He puts great stock into our believing and trusting what he says. The old song says, "Trust and obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey. He puts so much importance on what Jesus accomplished with His death, burial, and resurrection that he will grant mercy, grace, acceptance, and forgiveness to anyone who believes to the point of trusting and receiving His son Jesus Christ.

This is just what the secular world does not care for. They do not want to put on the yoke of following Jesus Christ. But God is patience with us, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance. He still gives us a choice as long as we are alive in the physical bodies that we inhabit. The Choice is ours.

I want you to reason again. Why does this God allow suffering to occur in this world? He can prevent it if he chooses.

CHARACTER. Suffering builds and develops character! Do we like it. No, it is painful. But through it we take on new traits like, compassion, long-suffering, persistence, sympathy empathy, and acceptance. We become better people with less selfishness. We are in training for our purposes that he has in store for us as we move into eternity. We should approach problems from the sense that we are approaching an opportunity to deal with. It changes our perspective. The Bible speaks of the joy of suffering. For years I wondered about what he was talking about. Now having gone through a little I can better understand. We become better instruments for God to use in the lives of others for good because we have suffered.

Let me close this page with a few scriptures from the HOLY BIBLE.

Ezekiel 18:23 Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

Ezekiel 18:32 For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!

Isaiah 55:8-12 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth; It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace;the mountains and hills will burst into song before you and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

1 Corinthians 2:9 However, as it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.
